The Oncode Institute is committed to translating fundamental knowledge about cancer into better and more affordable patient care. We created the Oncode Community Platform for the 800+ affiliated researchers. The platform enables researchers to gain insight into the activities and specialities of other researchers and to make contact with researchers who are relevant to their own research.

A tailor-made platform
Researchers create a profile on the Community Platform indicating with which tools, genes and/or biological processes they work.
The platform actively offers suggestions of researchers with similar interests or research areas and invites you to make contact. This helps accelerate the process of cancer research in the Netherlands.
Refined search via Elasticsearch
The search function is the heart of the platform. Researchers can search for keywords and refine a search by adding or removing keywords from the search results. The search function uses Elasticsearch.
The platform was built in a short period of time in collaboration with a few young Oncode researchers. The workshops prior to the start and the biweekly demos provided a wealth of feedback, parts of which were picked up directly during the platform's development.
In a fruitful co-creation process, we valued the dedication of the Oberon team and their skills in design & development, making this into a successful platform.
